Costs & FAQ

Dental crown cost in Indirapuram & Ghaziabad

A dental crown, often called a cap, covers a tooth that is too damaged, worn or weakened to hold a filling on its own. A metal-ceramic crown starts from ₹5,500. Zirconia and e.max crowns are also available; they cost more and are quoted after an examination, because the right material depends on which tooth it is and how you bite.

What a crown costs at our clinic

A metal-ceramic crown is our starting price. Zirconia and e.max cost more and are quoted after the examination, because the right material depends on the tooth and your bite.

Prices shown are starting prices for straightforward cases. Your final cost depends on your examination, X-rays, the materials you choose and the treatment you need. You get your quote before any treatment starts.

Crowns on implants are priced differently. The figure above is for a crown on a natural tooth, including the crown that protects a tooth after a root canal. A crown fitted on a dental implant is quoted with your implant plan. Build-ups and posts, where a tooth needs them, are charged separately and shown in your written quote.

What changes the price

Six things that move your crown quote

Understand these and you can compare two clinics properly, instead of comparing headline numbers that cover different things.

The material

Metal-ceramic is the starting price. Full-ceramic crowns such as zirconia and e.max cost more, and the difference is set out in your quote before anything is made.

Which tooth

Front teeth are seen when you smile, so appearance matters more. Back teeth take most of the chewing load, so strength matters more. The tooth often decides the material.

How much tooth is left

A tooth with little structure above the gum may need a core build-up, or a post if it has had a root canal, before a crown can be fitted. These are charged separately from the crown.

Whether a root canal is needed first

If the nerve of the tooth is involved, the tooth needs root canal treatment before the crown. That is a separate stage with its own fee, shown on the root canal cost page.

The gum around the tooth

Inflamed gums are treated first, so the edge of the crown sits on healthy tissue. We tell you at the examination if that applies to you.

How many crowns

Several crowns, or a bridge that replaces a missing tooth, are planned and quoted together rather than one at a time.

Metal-ceramic, zirconia or e.max

The three crown materials we offer differ in how they look, how strong they are and where they are usually used. Your dentist will recommend one for your tooth, and you choose. How long a crown lasts depends on the material, the tooth, your bite and how you care for it, and individual results vary.

What's included

What the crown fee covers

Set out before treatment begins, so you can see what is in the quote and what is not.

  • Examination and an X-ray of the tooth
  • A digital oral health report at the consultation
  • Preparing the tooth under local anaesthesia
  • A digital scan of the tooth
  • A temporary crown while the permanent one is made
  • The permanent crown, made by an ISO-certified dental laboratory in Mumbai
  • Fitting, bite adjustment and a review

Two visits, one plan

The first visit prepares the tooth under local anaesthesia and takes a digital scan. A temporary crown protects the tooth while an ISO-certified dental laboratory in Mumbai makes the permanent one. The second visit fits the crown and adjusts it to your bite.

FAQ

Dental crown questions patients ask

The questions we hear most often at the clinic and on WhatsApp, answered plainly.

How much does a dental crown cost in Indirapuram?

At Dr. Saket's Dental Makeover in Indirapuram, a metal-ceramic crown starts from ₹5,500. Zirconia and e.max crowns cost more and are quoted after an examination. Your final cost depends on the tooth, the material and any work needed before the crown.

Is a dental cap the same as a crown?

Yes. Cap is the everyday word for a dental crown: a cover made to fit over the whole visible part of a tooth.

Which crown material is best?

There is no single best material. Metal-ceramic is strong and the most affordable. Zirconia is very strong and has no metal. e.max is the most natural-looking and is often chosen for front teeth. Your dentist will recommend one after examining the tooth.

How many visits does a crown take?

Two visits: one to prepare the tooth and take a digital scan, and a second to fit the permanent crown once the laboratory has made it.

Does getting a crown hurt?

The tooth is prepared under local anaesthesia, so the area is numb during the procedure. Some sensitivity for a few days afterwards is common. Contact the clinic if discomfort lasts or your bite feels high.

Do I need a crown after a root canal?

A root-treated back tooth is more brittle and usually needs a crown to protect it from breaking under chewing. Front teeth are assessed case by case.

Is the crown on an implant the same price?

No. A crown fitted on a dental implant is priced differently from a crown on a natural tooth, and it is quoted with your implant treatment plan.

Why is a zirconia crown not priced on this page?

Full-ceramic crowns vary more with the tooth and the laboratory work involved, so they are quoted after an examination rather than shown as a single figure that might not apply to you.
